Fillable Document updates



GUI improvements & Templates: 


  • Major GUI improvements were made in the month of March. This includes the simplification of the already existing GUI to make it more effective and simple. We did this to enhance the user experience.

  • More templates were added to the template gallery in the Fillable Store.

  • Also, the old template gallery is now merged with Fillable Store templates.

  • Updates were made in Email Templates. Now you can add Bcc & ‘Reply To’ to your email. Also, you can insert tables with all the form field contents into your email message.

  • Introduced 2 new pricing plans Business & Enterprise with higher quota to meet our customer demand.

Congratulations Mr/ Mrs. Knight for being selected as the user of the month of march for Fillable Document. Knight has been a user of Fillable Document since December 2021. He is using Fillable Document to automate document/PDF generation. This is what he feels about Fillable Document

With these templates creating certificates is made easy. By submitting the required details you can easily create a well-structured certificate.

Challenges and Solutions


Challenges faced


Nelson (name changed), who is one of the users of Fillable Document, has created a worksheet using Fillable Document for his students along with a video. Students can watch the video at their own pace and fill out the worksheet. However, filling out the form might take up to 2 days to complete. But once the Fillable Form is submitted on the first day, students could not resume the next day.


So he is asking for a feature that should allow his students to complete half the form on the first day and then save it and then on the next day they can submit the full form.


Solution


Fillable Document already has a feature to fulfill this use case. We recommended Nelson to switch on the ‘Save draft response’ feature in the publish settings of Fillable Document. The ‘save draft responses’ feature enables to save his student's drafts automatically. So the student’s data will be saved in the Fillable Form and the next day the students resume to fill out the remaining form and submit the form.
