Will (name changed), a user of Fillable Document, reached out to us with the following query:

"The final document produces the correct date and time format as per settings. However, when filling in the form, it always defaults to English (American) format (MM/DD/YYYY). 

I have set the Chrome browser to Polish (DD.MM.YYYY) and English (UK) (DD/MM/YYYY) settings, and it always defaults to English (American). I face similar issues with time defaulting to AM/PM and not the 24-hour clock."


Proposed Solution


For Will's question, We discussed with our team & implemented changes to ensure the following:

  1. Date Format: The form now aligns with your browser’s regional settings, allowing you to input dates in the desired format (e.g., DD.MM.YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY).
  2. Time Format: The time format now respects your regional preferences, supporting both 24-hour clock and 12-hour clock (AM/PM) as per your settings.
