The User of the Month - August 2023

Congratulations Mr. Edward Mostaghimi for being selected as the user of the month of August for Form Builder. Edward has been a user of Form Builder since June.

This is what he feels about Form Builder:

It's very useful! The side panel is user-friendly and the fact that Form Builder Plus can actually transfer questions from Google Docs to Google Forms is incredibly useful! I am very impressed with the Application's ability to accurately 'parse' my questions; thank you very much for building this!

The user of the month will be displayed on the spotlight page of our community website. Please check the spotlight page for more details.

Challenges and Solutions

Challenges faced

Phil Brooks(name changed), who is one of the users of Form Builder, wrote to us asking the following question

Is there a way to have the question you are building in Form Builder for Sheets have the setting 'go to section based on answer' selected and input what section you want a particular answer to go to next?

Can you help me?”

Solution

For Phil's use case, we suggested him to use Form Builder Plus instead of Form Builder for Sheets.

To utilize this feature, he need to follow the provided format for his options in the template sheet. Each option should be structured as follows: option_text|value|go_to_section.
For example:

  • If you have a question with different options, you can set it up like this:
  • Option A|A|Section 1
  • Option B|B|Section 2
  • Option C|C|Section 3

Based on the his answer, the form will direct them to the specified section for further questions or actions.
