Challenges and Solutions

Challenges faced

One of our Form Builder users, Kevin (name changed), recently reached out to us with a specific query. He inquired:

"Hi, I am using Form Builder Plus to import Google docs for quizzes. I am finding that I have to manually enter a point value for each question so that when a student takes the quiz, the total points correct is shown. Without doing this, there is not point value recorded for the student.

Is there a way to set a default point value to eliminate the need to manually enter the point value for each question?"

Proposed Solution

For Kevin's use case,
if he is parsing questions from a Google Docs file, he can set points within the question text itself at the end. The format is question text [points].

For Example, "How many surgeons were summoned to attend the king? [5]". Here, the question is followed by [5], indicating that 5 points are assigned to this question.

Or, if Kevin wants to set a default point value for each question, he can use advanced feature settings. Enable "Default Points" and set the desired point value, then import.
