Challenges and Solutions


Challenges faced



One of our Form Builder users, Chris (name changed), recently reached out to us with a specific query. He inquired:

"When importing from a Google doc, I see the questions. The default type seems to be short answer. When I click on the type icon next to the question, Form Builder shows me a menu of choices, but when I select one, it just sits and doesn't make the change. The circle indicating wait simple goes round and round.

If I click on one of the Action icons, the wait indicator disappears and Form Builder seems to reset and lets me select/deselect questions, or edit the question. If I edit the question, I can change the type and the change is reflected in the Form Builder popup."

Proposed Solution


For Chris's use case, We have tested the issue Chris reported and found a bug. It was not converting the questions to a different type; instead, it was changing different questions. We have now fixed it & it is working fine now. 

I addition to this we have mentioned a valuable insight for Chris: If he want to convert all short-type identified questions to paragraphs, he can use 'Make all Text type as' in advanced features in Paragraph. It will change all short text-type questions to paragraphs when he import them.
