Challenges faced


Shane (name changed), a user of Fillable Document, reached out to us with the following query:

"I have been a paid user for quite some time now. I am interested in setting up the auto run, or otherwise try to have a PDF emailed upon submission of a Google Form, without me having to launch the Fillable Document extension in Sheets and Generate the process. 

Does the auto run function work? Is there another way I can have the PDF be created and emailed automatically upon submission of the form?"


Proposed Solution


For Shane's question, we suggested 2 options:


Option 1: He can enable Autorun to generate a PDF and send an email every hour to the users (not on form Submission) https://fillabledocument.jivrus.com/docs/setup/fillable-document-for-sheets.

or

Option 2: To do it on Form Submission, he can try our addon on Google Forms which will help him generate and send the email on Google Form submission https://fillabledocument.jivrus.com/docs/setup/fillable-document-for-forms.
