The User of the Month - October 2024


Congratulations Blessing for being selected as the user of the month of October for Form Director.

Challenges and Solutions


Challenges faced


Mathew(name changed), who is one of the users of Form Director wrote to us asking the

following question

"I'm setting up Form Director's Global Approval Settings and couldn't help but notice that the approvals do not follow any particular order, nor does it consider the submission as approved after all approvers have approved the submission.

After submitting the form, an email gets sent to both Approver 1 and Approver 2 simultaneously. And if any of them approves, the submission becomes approved and the services start running straight away, without the need for the other Approver to do anything.

We want it so that it first sends an email only to Approver 1, and then sends another email to Approver 2 only after Approver 1 approves the submission. After Approver 2 approves the request, then the services should launch." Can you help me resolve this.

Proposed Solution


We discussed with our team & implemented it for Mathew. Now, when a form is submitted, the approval process will follow a sequential order. An email notification is sent to Approver 1 first. Only after Approver 1 approves the submission will an email be sent to Approver 2. Once both Approver 1 and Approver 2 have approved the submission, the designated services will automatically start.
