Shawn (name changed), a user of Fillable Document, reached out with the following inquiry:

I use fillable documents for my invoicing and the add-on will not open. It simply spins and spins. I have shut down and restarted to no avail. Please check the screenshot attached below



Proposed Solution


In response to Shawn's question, (specifuic for the user - special chracters) We have checked and fixed the issue. For smoother operation and a better experience, we recommend avoiding special characters in the document name. For example, in your document template name: INVOICE #NDN ${NDNnumber}.

If you intend to include a field value in the document name for dynamic generation, you can configure this in a different section. Please refer to the image below.

In the Storage section, under the File Store sub-section, we use your template name by default. In addition, you can include any field by clicking the three-dot icon, selecting the required field, and saving the changes.

This way, you can achieve your requirement. The generated document name will be created based on your input field, for example: INVOICE #NDN_01
