Challenges and Solutions

Challenges faced 92232

Mark (name changed), a Form Director user, reached out with the following question:

"Hello I am getting this error message. The start date and time are not required for this type of event request. How do i make it so that a start time is not required "

Proposed Solution

For Mark's issue, The error was caused by an authorization issue in the Approval section of the configured Google Form.

✅ Step 1: Reauthorize the Approval Section

• Open the Approval section in your configured Google Form

• Click the Reauthorize button

• Complete the authorization process

• Save the service

✅ Step 2: Configure Full-Day Events (No Start Time Needed)

If you are creating a full-day Google Calendar event, you do not need to provide start time or end time.

Simply map the following fields:

• Event Title

• Start Date

• End Date

Form Director automatically understands this as a full-day event and handles the Calendar creation accordingly.
