Challenges and Solutions

Challenges faced 72018

Alfred(name changed), who is one of the users of Form Director wrote to us asking the

following question

"I had multiple automations in my form director and they seem to have disappeared recently. Do you have any backups? Are they stored anywhere? And do you have any idea how/why they would have disappeared?"

Can you help me resolve this.

Proposed Solution

For Alfred's question, Form Director configurations are stored in the destination spreadsheet linked to your Google Form. If this spreadsheet is unlinked or deleted, Form Director loses access to the saved configurations. To resolve this:

1. Verify the Destination Spreadsheet:

   • From your Google Form, click on the Responses tab.
   • Click on the Spreadsheet icon to open the linked destination spreadsheet.

2. If the Spreadsheet is Unlinked:

• Re-link the original destination spreadsheet to restore your configurations.

Note: If the destination spreadsheet has been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered, you will need to recreate and configure your services in Form Director.

To prevent future issues, avoid unlinking or deleting the destination spreadsheet associated with your Form Director configurations.
