Mike (name changed), a user of Fillable Document, reached out with the following inquiry:

I am getting the following error "Exception: You do not have permission to call drive.files.get. Required permissions: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive. For more information, see https://developers.google.com/apps-script/guides/support/troubleshooting#authorization-is"

Proposed Solution

For Mike's question, The issue appears to be related to incomplete authorization during the setup process.

To resolve this, please follow the steps below:

Please revoke all permissions for Fillable Document from your Google account:
https://myaccount.google.com/permissions (under the Third-party apps with account access section).
Open the document and run the Fillable Document extension again.
When prompted, click “Select all” to grant the required access and complete the Google authorization flow.

Granting all requested permissions allows the add-on to properly access Google Drive and function without errors.

Once the permissions are approved, Mike is able to use Fillable Document perfectly.
